During the winter 2022 - 2023 I lived in a workshop that was offered to me by Manuel whom I met during my wildcamping-period along the Rio Guadalquivir 🖱️.
That workshop had all 👍 I need since it is equipped with all regular stuff a house has. The former owner seemed to have done that, to make it suitable for familyparties.
Temperatures were quite 🌡️ oké untill at least late in october.
But the workshop has 👎 no heating, and heating won't work there anyway since it has just to much volume. So we isolated the big door which brought 2C more warmth. During the months of december and january temperatures dropped to some 5C outside and below 10C inside. Frio, frio, frio ...
We did a 🛠️ servicejob on the Suzuki of Manuel. That was a succes, however we were just not as fast as a raceteam. Luckily it is not about the miles but about the smiles.
I like 😋 chili con carne, also without carne by the way, but there are no premixes of spices for sale in Spain, except for paella 😉 ofcourse. I had one package of mix left that I had bought in Portugal and decided to try to make my own mix. After having investigated the chili-mix recipe online I bought the spices, mixed them and made my first Chili sin carne con Cordoba. My recipe is without meat 🖱️ and you can be sure you don't miss that.
However, the taste was not perfect and I needed some time to realise what was wrong. The salt was missing in the recipe ... After adding that the mix was perfect, and so I invited Manuel to taste it. He confirmed the good taste, and even again the next day. So nobody got hurt and my spicemix for Chili sin carne con Cordoba was approved.

This is the Rio Gualdalquivir and it flows very close to the workshop. There were some (very few) days of rain, and then I could hear 💪 the water roar at the dam. It should be the water of life, but will it be enough ?
And to my surprise and pleasure the goats that I saw every day at the other side of the Rio Guadalquivir, there where I had been wildcamping so long 🖱️, were visiting me here. Every afternoon, nice !
Sometimes storches were gliding over here.
They migrate between the river where they try to catch fish and the garbage-area in the south
where they try to find fastfood.
Some food, like peanuts, was usefull to make timelapses.
And Catty40 became my 😊 new friend ! She showed up more and more often so I bought food. And she liked it, and became less and less shy. However, sometimes she seemed a bit angry on me, like "this takes to long" 😎 . I even considered to take Catty40 with me, but that would most likely not be a succes for the both of us.
Last but not least, as you can see at this painting, there have been dutchies here before.
It was nice to be here.
